I’m thinking about going there. Is it worth taking a trip there and why?

I am sure that Nottingham is a nice place to live but there are a lot more interesting places to visit for a foreigner. London, Bath, York, Edinburgh, Winchester, Liverpool etc.
No…….the only reason you have ever heard of Nottingham is because of Hollywood films about Robin Hood. Its a large modern provincial city that is quite unreamarkable in any way and not the ancient place many american visitors believe it to be . If you like busy city centres with lots of shops it might be your thing but Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Manchester etc etc all offer as much if not more. If your time is limited i would choose more wisely than Nottingham.
